Epiphany Prison Ministry LTUMC participates in an ecumenical ministry to incarcerated youth. The institutions we primarily serve are the Madison Correctional Institute and the Mohican Correctional Institute. The ministry involves a 3-day weekend similar (but not the same as) the Emmaus Walk Weekend where volunteers go into the prison and minister and share Christ's love for ALL people - including the incarcerated. LTUMC provides volunteers and financial support on these life-changing weekends - and the weekends are life-changing for both the boys AND volunteers.
Senior Nutrition Meals LTUMC partners with Tri-County Community Action to provide Senior meals on Tuesdays at 11:30 am in Lakeview at the Young At Heart Senior Center on West Lake Street. The meals are cooked, packaged and delivered to the center by Tri-County CAC. Volunteers help distribute the meals and do any clean up after the meal.
Mission Trips In August 2009 the church supported a youth mission trip to Katrina stricken Pearlington, Mississippi. In February 2010 an adult mission team visited Pearlington. Future trips are being planned & possibly to Haiti.

The Lighthouse Emergency Shelter In 2002, LTUMC took the bold step of establishing Logan County's only temporary homeless shelter and operating it solely as a ministry of LTUMC. As the need has increased, LTUMC invited other Logan County churches to partner with LTUMC and form a cooperative emergency shelter ministry. The shelter has been expanded and moved to Bellefontaine. This move provided us with a larger shelter facility and places the clients in close proximity to Logan County's Social Service agencies. Opportunities to serve include: Volunteering to check clients in and out of the shelter; cleaning after clients leave, light maintenence of the house, etc.
God's Team (G-Team) Sports Ministry G-Team Sports Ministry uses sports as a way to reach children and youth for Jesus Christ. LTUMC developed G-Team ministries for 4 year olds through 4th grade. Volunteers are needed for everything from coaching to concessions so there is a place for virtually anyone in this vital outreach ministry.
