"Lewie" the Lewistown-Trinity Church Mouse

Lewie meets with the children every Sunday during "Children's Moment" in worship.  He presents a message geared toward the children - yet speaks to all God's children.  Lewie is a perennial favorite of children (both young and old) in our worship services.

Children's Church

Children are always welcome to stay in the sanctuary during the worship service.  However, if the child or parent desires, the child may go to children's church after the children's moment with Lewie.

During children's church the children hear a message tailored to their age level and have an activity that reinforces the lesson.  Our desire is that children learn at an early age that it is a pleasant - even fun - experience to be in church.

Kid's Night Out
Wednesday Evenings 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
in the Community Center, Lewistown

Kid's Night Out is for children in grades K-6.  It follows the youth worship service and is based on a Sunday School/Vacation Bible School model.  Children learn about worshiping God and learning about God on their level.  Crafts and othe fun activities reinforce the lessons.

The evening follows this basic pattern:  Fun time:  Children and youth fellowship together while playing ping-pong, air hockey and Fooseball followed by food and refreshments (15-20 minutes); Youth led worship (15-20 minutes); KNO/Tweeners (15-20 minutes).

Parents:  All youth and children's activities are adult supervised.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is generally held the first week of August each year from 6-8 p.m. The VBS program is developed by one of our own members and includes a Bible lesson, craft, singing, games and snacks all centered around a theme.  The theme in 2010 was "The Great Spirit" centered around the Christian beliefs of Native Americans.  Join us for THIS year's VBS!

Church Camps

The United Methodist Church is blessed with several nice camps.  Camp Wesley is only about 10 miles from Lewistown and offers many camping events for children.  LTUMC offers two full scholarships and up to six partial scholarships per year.  If you are interested, talk with your parents and then see Pastor Tim!
